Endodontics

Students obtain a Master's Degree (MSD) in Endodontics as part of their postdoctoral program. Students are involved research related to the pathophysiology of endodontic disease or materials used in endodontic therapy.

  • Our well-rounded postdoctoral program in endodontics offers residents a combination of clinical training and didactic knowledge in the specialty of endodontics. Throughout the residency, students are exposed to a variety of nonsurgical and surgical endodontic cases that offer the opportunity to develop proficiency in diagnosis and clinical treatment.

  • Lectures, case presentations, and current and topical literature seminars provide the opportunity for students to learn and discuss the rationale and evidence for the pathophysiology of endodontic disease and the subsequent endodontic treatment needed.

  • All residents are introduced to the scientific method by conducting a research project. Residents work with their own operating microscopes and with computerized digital radiography units, and have access to the latest technology such as apex locators and NI-Ti rotary instruments.
