The Institute intends to assist Dubai Healthcare City in fulfilling its mission of becoming an "Integrated Center of Excellence in the region for specialist medical and clinical services, medical education and life science research".

The Institute offers a three year combined Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAGS) and Master's of Science Degree (MSD) in the following specialties:
