Instructions
Individuals who are interested in applying to a program offered by Boston University Institute for Dental Research and Education at Dubai Healthcare City should complete the application form on the following pages and submit the printed, signed paper application along with the required supplementary documents and materials to the address indicated below.

This application is for the Boston University Institute for Dental Research and Education at Dubai Healthcare City programs only.* Individuals who are interested in applying for a dental education program in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, must visit the Boston University School of Dental Medicine website for program information and application instructions at
www.dentalschool.bu.edu/admissions.
*These programs are not currently eligible for accreditation by the American Dental Association. Neither the programs nor the Certificates/Degrees will confer eligibility to register for U.S. dental specialty board examinations or to obtain U.S. state licensure.
All materials should be submitted for receipt by October 15.
(Deadline for applications submission till the 30th of November).
A complete application includes:
- Application form:completed, signed and dated. Please write neatly and use dark blue or black ink. (Please find the PDF format below).
- Application fee of 350 Dhs payable by check or money order to Dubai Dental FZ LLC.
- Personal statement describing your qualifications and objectives.
- TOEFL or ITLS score: Applicants for whom English is not the primary language must submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score. TOEFL score requirement: internet-based TOEFL (iBT) minimum 85; OR computer TOEFL minimum 213; OR written TOEFL minimum 550. An official, original report must be received directly from the agency. Your TOEFL score should be from within the last two years. Information is available at www.TOEFL.org
If applicant does not have TOEFL, he/she can submit an ITLS test with a minimum score of 6.5.
- Academic transcripts: official dental school transcript or certified true copy, in a signed and sealed envelope. If you have multiple degrees, you must submit a transcript for each program of study.
- Course-by-course translation and evaluation of each transcript provided by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE Inc.). An official, original report must be received directly from the agency. Information is available at http://www.ece.org/.
- Diploma: a certified true copy of diploma for each degree earned.
- Curriculum Vitae
- Evaluations/Recommendations: three original, sealed letters of evaluation, including one from the dean of your dental school and two from dental school faculty. An evaluation form is provided with the application. Evaluators may provide a letter of evaluation in lieu of using the form provided. Applicants may choose to submit an optional fourth letter from a professional colleague.
- Photograph of applicant (approximately 5 cm by 5 cm) with the applicant’s name written on the back.
Applications are reviewed after all required documents have been received and the application file is complete. It is to the applicant’s advantage to complete the application file prior to the deadline, as consideration of the application may begin as soon as the file is complete. Admissions decisions may be available only after the deadline, however. Candidates of interest may be asked to participate in a personal interview, which does not guarantee acceptance.
