In considering applications, the Admissions Committee places primary emphasis on an applicant’s dental record. The successful graduation from a dental school is a requirement for admission to the Boston University Institute for Dental Research and Education, Dubai. The committee takes into account the applicant’s university scores and English proficiency tests, as well as such factors as the quality and difficulty of courses taken, demonstrated clinical expertise, leadership ability, and motivation for the study of postdoctoral specialties. Applicant’s personal statements and letters of recommendation are also important elements in the evaluation.

A personal interview is required of all applicants whose credentials are acceptable to the Admissions Committee. The Admissions Committee contacts selected applicants regarding interview invitations. Interviews are scheduled starting toward the end of October. Every effort will be made to arrange a meeting that is convenient for the candidate. A personal interview does not guarantee acceptance.
